Cultural Programs of the National Academy of Sciences and the Shakespeare Theatre Company are pleased to present a staged reading of a play about power, recognition and the spark of creation. It’s 1927 and Ruby is certain that she can build the first electric television. In a television studio in 1952, her abilities are still being questioned. This play, written in 2004, is a heartfelt look at women in science and the importance of being recognized.
Visitors need to show a photo ID to enter the National Academy of Sciences.
